Members' Gallery: Keith Spencer FRPS
Following my full time education at Keighley School of Art & Crafts, and a further six years part time training there, I was always intrigued with artistic subjects. I think it was automatic that I moved to photography and it's associated crafts. I took a photography course at Keighley Technical College, and I was hooked.
Next I joined the Royal Photographic Society and gained the following distinctions: Licentiateship, Associateship and Fellowship.
I was introduced to the Bromoil Process by Tom Shipley, a past Hon. Secretary of the Bromoil Circle of Great Britain. It was he who first demonstrated the process to me and I eventually became a member of the Society. I have been President of the Keighley & District Photographic Society on three occasions.
I am exceedingly grateful to past and present members of the Circle for their guidance and encouragement, most notably the late Gilbert Hooper.
